1 Cor 2:9
What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard and what no human mind has conceived. Those things God has prepared for those who love him. These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
Joel Barker, in his book 'Paradigms' said; To ignore the power of your paradigms to influence your judgement, is to put yourself at risk when exploring the future.
Your paradigm is your mindset and the way in which you view your situation and your life. Your paradigm can be affected by what we hear and what we watch, so be careful about what you accept as truth.
We all know some famous paradigms about money in our society. We hear people say it all the time - especially our parents may have quoted this to us: 'Money does not grow on trees' or 'we can never afford this'
These limiting beliefs may stop us from receiving the good which is laid aside for us by God.
In Judges 6 - God calls Gideon and says to him: 'Go in the strength that you have' Note, he did not say: 'Go in the strength I will give you', which implies that God had already laid up the seeds of greatness in Gideon - He had already been pre-packaged with everything he needed to overcome this challenge. However Gideon had a problem seeing this and listed all the reasons why he was not up to the task. This was Gideon's paradigm, the least of the clan, the lowest of the low - but God saw things differently.
We are destined for greatness, because the Lord wants to bring out of us those things which he has laid in our heart to do. Our purpose for being on this earth. He will communicate this to you through ideas - it is your job to capture those idea and unfold them into reality.
Sometimes Gods ideas are so 'out there' that we have trouble holding onto it when it comes. We just have no grid for this suggestion and cannot see how these things can ever be. Many ideas are lost, because people are not willing to consider the impossible so that it could become reality.
What do you need to do when an idea comes to you?
1. Write down the idea
2. Talk about it
3. Meditate on it
4. Take action
Just like the Wright Brothers did not dismiss the idea of flying, but instead discovered the laws of aerodynamics to take beat gravity. In the same way, when we receive a 'God idea' we should be ready to throw our old paradigms out of the window and be ready to entertain the 'God idea' until it has an opportunity to unfold into reality.
