Change the program

Today I am continuing my series on the times and the seasons. The bible talks quite a lot about how times will change and we have seen that in previous sessions.

Lets read from Timothy and see what the signs of times are:

But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

My question is, how are all these signs all coming along at the same time? I think it is brought about through the programming of our minds. This is done very subtly through the media we see every day. Mass media is facilitating this manipulation of the mass consciousness in ways that were not possible in ages past.

So you might ask, well how is this done and how can I recognise this. Here is just one strategy that is used. The media will present us with a situation and then present pre-thought out responses. This conditioning is taking our minds away from the original fact that is stated. We need to be aware of this tactic and see it in operation all around us.

For example, they will make a statement such as: Saddam Hussain has weapons of mass destruction. Then they will ask the question: shall we now:

a) shoot and kill him

or

b) capture him alive

This takes us very quickly away from the real question - does Saddam Hussain really have weapons of mass destruction? But we are not asking that question. Our collective consciousness is being manipulated and this will create a mass movement in one way or the other.

Another example of where our minds are being poisoned on mass is through video games. Our whole younger generation is being conditioned by hours of practise that it is okay to kill and by making it into a game, their subconscious minds are programmed to see killing as easy.

Do you know that pilots and astronauts train in simulators and that they learn everything they need to know to fly for real. In fact our minds are so fooled by a simulation that research was done about whiplash injuries in a simulator. The test subjects were placed in a simulator and without being moved, they experienced a car crash and 20% of the subjects experienced whiplash symptoms from this simulation. So strong was this experience that 10% ended up with permanent whiplash injuries!

I am not telling you all this to make you worried, but I want you to see how we are all being manipulated by the messages we believe and how those messages are affecting our subconscious mind.

So today, think what you are filling your mind with and how this is affecting your subconscious mind. Are you being led down the garden path? Or are you keeping the truth of God in the centre of your vision and testing all messages by his standard?
